Dear Friends:

I offer you the opportunity to become involved in a project that will pay tribute to the Rev. John White, a priest we all admired and loved. Throughout his priestly ministry, Father White embraced his vocation by preaching, teaching and living the Gospel message of compassion and service. He epitomized the ideal of diocesan priesthood. Perhaps he is best known for the energy and love he gave to promoting good Catholic education. He loved children and was a strong advocate for them.

St. Bernard Parish in Rockville Connecticut is proud to establish the Father John White Scholarship which will be presented each year to two graduating 8th grade students who intend to be enrolled in a Catholic High School. One recipient will be chosen from our Religious Education Program and the other from our Parochial School.

I am very excited about this scholarship that assists our children and pays tribute to a wonderful man. I hope you can join our effort to make this dream a reality. Please be generous to our scholarship fund and God bless you for your generosity and support.

Entering 9th grade in a Catholic High School
Demonstrate an active faith life
Actively involved in community service
Demonstrate leadership qualities
