Mission Statement
for the parish of Saint Bernard, Rockville Connecticut

The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Bernard, Rockville is involved in the mission of the universal church which is to lead the people of God to greater holiness as we labor to make God's Kingdom real in our midst.

The Church does this by being the sacrament of Christ as it brings people closer to God through its own celebration of faith, hope and love.

The Church of Saint Bernard is called by Christ to help people grow in their faith through prayer, education, and worship.  The Church is also called to serve the needs of its members and in doing so bring them to a sense of commitment to their brothers and sisters.  The Church should also bring hope to those most in need, regardless of their race or creed, as it follows the example of Christ who came to serve and not be served.

We are the Church of Saint Bernard and with the Spirit's guidance, we are the sacrament of Christ to Rockville and the whole world.
