Cornerstone Foundation Soupfest 2016 Thursday November 3rd 6:00pm - 8:30pm St. Bernard Church Hall Admission is free and the evening's theme is "SOUP-er Responders" featuring soups provided by Vernon, Tolland and Crystal Lake Volunteer fire and ambulance companies. The evening includes soup tasting, teacup raffles and a silent auction. Music provided by Rob Thomas. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) RCIA is the process by which adults are gradually initiated into the life and sacraments of the Catholic Church. It is comprised of various steps along the way and each transition is marked by a rite, or a special ceremony within the public liturgy. Underlying these are the classes where the individual learns the basics of the Catholic faith. The start date of the next set of classes will be announced in a future bulletin. Bereavement Group Tuesdays Starting November 1st 6:30pm - 8:30pm St. Bernard’s Youth Room Living through grief is not easy but it does not have to be done alone.  The St. Bernard/St. Matthew Community will offer a 9 week support program, “New Day”, for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.  The goal of this program is to provide a sense of community where support is given and received. “New Day” is led by trained facilitators and includes prayer, discussion and journaling.  Although “New Day” is a faith-based program, it is not restricted to...

The Catholic Community of Saint Bernard & Saint Matthew YOUTH GROUP HIKE SUNDAY, OCTOBER 23RD 2-4PM Drop off will be at the King Riverside Conservation Area on Dimock Road, Coventry, right off of 195 at 2 PM.  Pick up will be at the River Park Athletic Field parking lot on South River Road in Tolland.  Mass will be held at River Park at the conclusion of our hike.  All participants must complete the Hike permission slip.  Please R.S.V.P. by Oct. 19th. Pro-Life Program of Prayer & Fasting and Peaceful Prayer Vigil September 27th—November 6th The Norwich 40 Days-For-Life campaign will begin with a Vigil Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral this Tuesday, September 27, at 7 PM.
