July in the Sky - July 5th

Join us at St. Bernard to view the fireworks at the best spot in Rockville. Bring your blankets and chairs. Hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, soda, ice cream for sale to support St. Bernard Preschool. Rain Date is July 6th.

Our community will celebrate a special Mass on July 4th at St. Bernard Cemetery (in the historic section, by the altar) for all those buried in our cemetery and for all deceased members of our parishes. Please note there will be no 9:00am Mass on July 4th. Plan to arrive early and bring your lawn chairs. In the event of rain, Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church.

Brian Kenny, Business Manager for our Catholic Community of St. Bernard & St. Matthew, received a citation from the Connecticut General Assembly for his work establishing Clairvaux House, a temporary shelter for homeless mothers and their children owned by St. Bernard Church and operated by the Cornerstone Foundation.  The citation was introduced by Rep. Michael Winkler, Rep. Novena to St. Peregrine Pray together for all those with Cancer June 5 & 13 at 7 pm St. Bernard Church The novena to St. Peregrine is offered for all those whose lives are impacted by cancer. We gather together at a prayer service on the first and ninth day; a booklet provided at either prayer service includes nine days of scripture readings and reflections.  Plan to stay for refreshments after the concluding prayer service on June 13th.  If you would like to have your prayer intentions included a book will be in the both churches the weekend of June 3 & 4.
