The St Bernard's Women's Guild would like to thank all those who supported our two projects this summer - the school supply drive and the Bazaar Summer Toy drive. We packed up over 55 boxes of toys for the bazaar. If you missed the drive we will gladly accept your toys when we collect Attic Treasures just before the bazaar in November. Special thanks to our husbands John and Jeff who did the heavy lifting and stacking of the boxes. The Guild September meeting will be: Tuesday September 4th at 6PM. During the month of May, 2018, the St. Bernard Cemetery Committee conducted a survey of the four Catholic parishes in Vernon, Tolland, and Ellington (St. Bernard, St. Joseph, St. Luke and St. Matthew) for the purpose of gathering information to assist us in determining a long term plan to upgrade the St. Bernard cemetery property, extend the useful life of the property and to assure its sound fiscal operation. We are looking for: 1 person to join a Tuesday team that works once a month 2 people to join the 3rd Wednesday of each month team. Hours are 4:45pm - 6:00pm. Jobs include setting up, serving the meal, clean-up, wiping tables, sweeping and mopping. The soup kitchen is located around the corner from St. Bernard.
