Dear Parish family,

On behalf of the clergy and staff of our two parishes, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very blessed and happy New Year.  I pray 2019 is a great year for all of you.  New beginnings are truly a blessing and we thank God for every opportunity we receive to be transformed into the men, women and children He created.  It’s a lifelong mission but each step forward is a step in the right direction.

I also look at this new year and pray that our Church will take the necessary steps forward in becoming the Church God intended.  It is a very painful time in our history and our hearts are heavy with sadness for past victims and present conditions. Throughout our Church history there have been moments of transformation and purification.  I believe we are at the junction of one of those moments.  The process is always difficult and painful but with prayer and trust in God, I believe that we will come out of this crisis stronger, healthier and inspired by the Spirit.  In the interim we need to watch out for each other, support each other and pray for each other.  Like all healthy families, the core of who we are is love. It is the message of Christ and the message of the Church He left us.

Thank you for all you’ve done for our Church family in the past and all you will do in her future.  You are a blessing to me and to His Church.

Peace,

Fr Rick
