Saturdays, March 16, 23, & 30 at 10-11am St. Matthew Church -- Tolland, CT
Next Saturday will be the final session of the Lenten mornings with Fr. Ellis on improving our prayer life and growing closer in friendship with God. If you missed the first two, it isn’t too late to just join us for the last session. We hope to see you there!
March 16th: Take time to Pray: This session will give us a jump start toward a deeper prayer life, including practical advice to avoid common pitfalls and how to set the stage for powerful prayer life. We will look at what prayer is in its essence, and we will explore what steps we can do to prepare for the Lord to communicate with us.
March 23rd: Praying with Scripture: Lectio Divina invites us to savor God's words quietly, slowly and intently. Fr. Ellis will guide us in this dynamic method of meditative prayer that will help us prayerfully experience scripture as the living word of God.
March 30th: On Praise & Worship: Prayer can be much more than giving our ‘wish list’ to God. The third session will help us go beyond praying ’to God’ and experience prayer as a loving communion ‘with God’ and a personal encounter with grace. We will examine different types of prayer and talk about how to incorporate them into a robust life of faith and a fuller relationship with God.
